The Recent History of Waller World

Hi everyone my name is Rosemary and I am now a Part-Time Homeworker for Waller Associates. This is my first blog and I thought that I would give you an insight into the recent history of Waller World. I have been employed by Waller Associates Ltd for the last 16 years, firstly as an old lady and now as an even older lady!

Where It All Began For Me

My office back in 2008 was in the old office at the entrance of Waller Associates, which was and still is, an outbuilding belonging to Pheasants Farmhouse. The office was based on the upper level with the ground floor being storage only. We had no toilet! We had to use the toilet in the BIG HOUSE, when the need arose, but we did have our own key hanging in the office.

Working at Waller Associates at this time were Steve Waller, Martin Ravenscroft and Paula, whose job I took over when she left on maternity leave. We did actually share the office with Waller Advertising Services, who comprised of Andy Waller and his lovely young wife Lesley. They, with the help of Bill Waller, Steve and Andy’s Dad, ran the Bill Posting side of the company.

A Change and a Big Addition

The year 2010 saw a big change when the bill posting side of the company closed. In addition, a very nice chap from a local glazing company called Paul joined us and Waller Glazing Services was born.

Andy threw away his bill-posting ladders and emerged as a dashing young Surveyor, the rest as they say is history. Steve and Andy soon revamped the storage area and formed a new office and, wait for it, a brand new toilet! We were soon joined by Mark who would look after sales and marketing for the building and glazing divisions. I’m just not sure whether he came before the toilet or after!

New Office

I moved into that new office with Sam (Paul’s niece) who was our lovely young office junior and the Managing Director himself, Mr Steven Waller. Steve did have his own room behind a glass petition, which I would occasionally knock on to attract his attention when I absolutely had to. (Admin had to step in here as Rosemary didn’t seem to understand that a blog should be brief and punchy to keep the reader interested)

Keep an eye out for part two of my blog which is coming soon!!!!!!!!!
