New College Windows

We installed these new college windows to replace the single glazed, Crittal windows. Due to being single glazed, the Crittal windows were not energy efficient and needed to be upgrade with a double glazed alternative. The college requested that we installed an aluminium framed, double glazed window upgrade to six classrooms that faced a courtyard. In addition the school asked us to replace the dated tiles with modern cladding. The colour of the new windows needed to match the other existing double glazed windows. As well as the windows, the cladding installed was the same colour which provided the finishing touch to ensure that the courtyard had uniformity.

The Benefits of Double Glazed Windows

The benefits of the new windows include improved thermal efficiency which will lower energy cost for the college in the future. Additionally, the windows were glazed with safety glass and modern locks and hinges that increases security. The final touch is a new modern looking elevation of the courtyard with improved aesthetics.

Asbestos Removal

Before the project was started, a full refurbishment and demolition survey was carried out. Asbestos was identified and removed safely by an accredited company. Whilst the asbestos was being removed safely, additional asbestos was discovered. This meant that there was a week delay as the asbestos required removal. After the removal, our guys were able to strip out the current window and install the new aluminium replacements.
