This kitchen, for example, has recessed low voltage spot lights, stainless steel fittings and a glass splash back.  By being sympathetic in the design, these materials do not look out of place against the oak beams, oak kitchen units and granite worktops.  Please note the handmade quarry tiles in the floor that were specially commissioned and made in a traditional style.

NEW GLASS ROOM

We were also asked to design and install a glass room to the rear of the listed building.  The remit was to produce a room that felt like part of the garden but could still be used when the Great British weather wasn’t great.  To accomplish this, we took up and relayed the existing patio (with insulation below), installed a double glazed roof on a timber framework and fitted a total of 10 fold back doors.  This meant that the whole wall of doors could be folded open to give the impression of space and of being in the garden, whilst remaining a place of refuge when the weather turns.  Simple elegant solutions, the best of both worlds!

NEW DRIVEWAYS AND FENCING TO TWO ADJACENT PROPERTIES IN THE SWALE AREA

As part of the commission Waller Building Services also installed a new boundary fence to the front of two properties.  This included a new gravel driveway, granite rumble strips and electric entrance gates.  As the main property was a listed building we made sure that the panels used were sympathetic to the age and style of the building.
